“We are profoundly humbled by the embrace and support we’ve received during our first decade,” said co-founder and co-presidentAndrew Rabinowitz. “When we started this journey, we only knew that we had to be part of the solution. Today, we’re proud to have positively affected the lives of more than one million children each year.”
Phyllis Rabinowitz, co-founder and co-president continued: “We are heartened by the amazing feedback we’ve gotten from the doctors we work with on how R Baby’s support has impacted their patients. It’s documented that many ERs aren’t fully prepared for pediatric emergencies. We’ll continue to work closely with experts in the field to fund life-saving education, training and equipment to emergency rooms around the country.”
About R Baby Foundation
R Baby Foundation was founded in 2006 by Andrew and Phyllis Rabinowitz after the death of their daughter Rebecca Ava Rabinowitzat just nine days old. After emergency room doctors dismissed her symptoms as a common cold, when in fact she was battling a life-threatening virus, the family turned tragedy into action. Phyllis and Andrew joined an esteemed group of medical professionals to address and correct critical challenges in the emergency pediatric healthcare landscape in the United States and beyond. The foundation funds programs to bring training and tools to community emergency rooms, and supports groundbreaking efforts to standardize pediatric emergency rooms.
